PCM Stereo Sound Editing.
The DV10000
makes possible digital audio recording in 16-bit mode, and four-channel
digital audio dubbing in 12-bit mode (32-kHz sampling frequency).
Channel 1
carries the stereo audio signal originally recorded, while Channel 2 can
be used to record a stereo signal dubbed from another video or audio
source.

mode for maximum quality, the DV1 0000 includes a 12-bit mode for audio

The 16-bit

Versatile
Editing Terminals.
The DV10000
VCR is equipped with extensive editing terminals to meet the needs of
even the most demanding user:
DV Terminal (iLink
Terminal). This terminal can be connected to any personal computer
equipped with an iLink terminal, enabling high-speed transfer of video
images.
5-pin Editing
Terminal. This terminal is used to connect the DV1 0000 to a conventional
VHS/S-VHS VCR or video camera for video editing, or to a video printer
for printing out images.
8-mm Control
Terminal (LANG). An 8-mm video camera can be connected through this
terminal.
Digital Still
Picture Terminal (RS-232C). When used with the optional “DV Studio”,
this terminal allows the user to send digital still pictures from the
DV10000 to a PC.
Extensive
Editing Features.
DV10000’s
editing features include easy-to-use , one-touch editing keys as well as
programme editing functions similar to those found in professional-use
VCRs.
Programme
Editing. Up to 40 scenes can be marked simply by pressing a button at
the beginning and end of each scene.
The DV10000
will automatically reassemble them into a continuous sequence. This
feature can be used in the Assemble Editing, Insert Editing, and Audio
Dubbing modes.
All programme
editing data is automatically backed up into memory in case of power
failure.
Audio Mixing.
In 12-bit audio mode, two stereo audio signals can be mixed together.
The
sounds originally recorded with the video are stored in stereo on
Channel 1, while Channel 2 can be used, for example to record stereo
background music or narration.
One Touch
Editing. Simply connect the source VCR or video camera to the
DV10000’s 5-pin editing connector or synchro edit terminal, and then
begin playback. The DV10000’s Jog & Shuttle control can be used to
control the source equipment.
By connecting
to a TV or other monitor, the user can monitor the recording of images,
and play them back.

LP mode
Recording.
The DV10000
has both a Standard (SP) and Long Play (LP) mode. LP mode extends
recording and playback time to 1.5 times compared to that of standard
mode, with hardly any loss in picture quality.
